Trinsic Tales:The Tower/Chapter 06
Chapter Six: Sixth Floor: Constructs, Cleavage and Kickpunches
<Capn_Ascii> As we join our heroes, we find them caught between a rock and a hot place. Also air.
Drem takes a step anti-elementalward and begins focusing on his imaginary friend
Zephi takes a step towards the lone Fire elemental and attacks.
<Capn_Ascii> Zephi swings her blade around frantically...so frantically, in fact, that it spontaniously bursts into flame! ...no, wait, that's just fire elemental blood. Eeww. The elemental recoils and shrieks something in the "ultrasonic horror from beyond" range...it sounds pissed.
Lak swings his falchion menacingly, aiming at the Earth elemental, charging, and slashing!
<Capn_Ascii> Lak charges forth, bellowing a war cry, and brings his sword down with all his might!
<Capn_Ascii> The blade chips harmlessly off of the elemental's thigh. It looks down at Lak as if making note of a bothersome mosquito.
Lak says a word not fit to repeat.
<Capn_Ascii> The Air elemental, seeing Zephi attack its partner, swoops through the air and prepares to punish her (in the name of the moon).
<Capn_Ascii> It hauls back its semi-tangible hand, and pimp-slaps Zephi across the face. Hmm, somehow I was expecting something more meanacing.
<Capn_Ascii> The fire elemental makes up for it, executing a flaming FALCON PAUNCH! that leaves Zephi reeling. Fortunately, she manages to avoid being set ablaze.
<Capn_Ascii> The Earth elemental continues to look down at Lak. Then, it raises a single, huge hand, and flicks its finger at him as if thumping a bug. *THWACK*
Drem reaches one hand out toward the earth elemental, and then a winged gorilla appears above its head, and promptly kicks down at it
<Capn_Ascii> The elemental looks up just in time to get a face-full of flying gorilla foot. Which actually looks a lot like flying gorilla fist, as luck would have it.
Drem then turns over to the two non-rock elementals, and waves his hands around all mystical-like. "All for one, and one for all!"
<Capn_Ascii> There's a dim sparkle around both elementals, but nothing seems to happen. The two of them look at each other, then back at Drem, as if to say "...okay, what was *that* all about?"
Zephi takes another swing at the Fire Elemental.
<Capn_Ascii> Great gouts of flaming blood flame fly out of the elemental as Zephi's strike hits true.
Zephi jumps back after the hit.
<Lak> Lak sighs at his combat ineffectiveness, walks 20 feet towards the others, pulls out a wand, and mutters "Interphase". Soon, he vanishes from sight.
<Capn_Ascii> The air elemental floats forward, still fixated on Zephi. *SMACK!* Ouch...air hurts.
<Capn_Ascii> The fire elemental follows suit, but this time Zephi is smart enough to duck the incoming flaming clothesline.
<Capn_Ascii> "Hrrmm?" The elemental lumbers after Lak, confused as the halfling vanishes from sight. He starts to scratch his head, but this complicated task is interrupted as Drem's pet executes a Flying Monkey Foot Punch into the back of its head. It stumbles forward, growling and grasping at the air around it.
Drem waves his arms around more frantically at the fire and air elementals. "Don't be so stubborn! What's good for the goose is good for the gander!"
<Capn_Ascii> More sparklies appear, but nothing seems to happen. Apparantly, these elementals don't like to share.
<Drem> The gorilla dives towards the earth elemental in a flying kick/punch
<Capn_Ascii> The fabled Kickpunch technique goes unappreciated by the earth elemental, who just stands there scratching his head.
Zephi swings again at the Fire Elemental.
<Capn_Ascii> It's good! The crowd goes wild, as the elemental bleeds firey gore and thrashes about in pain.
<Lak> Lak notices Zephi could use some healing, so switches wands, and hits the deck.
<Lak> Lak then points his new wand at Zephi and mutters "Quickheal".
<Lak> Finally, Lak rolls a few feet over to the side.
<Capn_Ascii> The three elementals, sensing the battle starting to shift toward even footing, lash out. The air and fire elementals flail uselessly at Zephi, who effortlessly parries their attacks with her sword in one hand while reading an old copy of the Manual of Style with her other. Meanwhile, the Earth elemental gets angry and swats at the annoying flying monkey, giving it a good thump.
Drem places a hand on his temple and starts thinking up a second friend
<Drem> Meanwhile, the gorilla construct lets out an angry "Ook!" and pounds one foot-fist down at the earth elemental
<Capn_Ascii> The elemental stumbles around angrily, clawing at the air and roaring.
Zephi swings at Fire once again!
<Capn_Ascii> Zephi lets out a battle cry, and swings her sword at mach speed! It cuts right through the fire elemental, snuffing out the last of the creature's life force and reducing it to a cloud of smoldering ash. Not even stopping to check, however, she keeps right on going, the blade cutting through the nearby air elemental, causing it to shriek angrily.
Lak, seeing Drem in great danger, switches wands again and points at Drem, muttering "Interphase" then quickly getting out of the way.
<Capn_Ascii> The air elemental takes a swing at Zephi, but somehow it manages to get its fist twisted around to punch itself in the face. Meanwhile, Earthy takes another swing at Kung-Fu Monkey's flying wires, and succeeds in batting him around like a pinata.
Drem gestures at the air elemental, conjuring a scaly, shiny ape-like creature next to it.
<Drem> The flying ape makes a last-ditch effort, slamming its various hand-like appendages down at the earth elemental
<Capn_Ascii> The elemental cringes as the gorill-l-l-l-l-la bops its head repeatedly as if playing the bongos.
<Drem> The groundbound ape pounds its chest, and then follows that up by pounding its fists at the air elemental
<Capn_Ascii> The monkey winds up and executes a perfect haymaker straight into the elemental's stomach (or at least, what would pass for a stomach on a human), knocking the wind out of it. (Get it? Air elemental? Wind? HAR HAR!)
<Drem> Deciding that two is not enough, Drem puts his other hand on his other temple and starts psychic-ing up another friend
Zephi takes a swing at the Air Elemental
<Capn_Ascii> The blade cuts through the elemental like...uh, well, like a sword through air.
<Lak> Lak looks at the situation, and realizes Zephi will need healing. He switches wands again, moves up and mutters "Quickheal" at Zephi.
