Geometric Archipelago:Ignorance on Circle Island/Chapter 14
Chapter Fourteen: Death to Wizards: Oh my god, you killed Marcus! YOU BASTARDS!
<mainstreet> ---BEGIN GAME---
<mainstreet> "Are you sure you want to be making that threat?" Eralia asks, standing up straight, revealing her full height.
<Capn_Marcus> "Not really. But I don't see any other way to get our friend out of jail short of making him a fugitive, and I don't think he'd appreciate that..."
<mainstreet> "Even if you 'capture' me, which I still don't comprehend why you think you can do that, what makes you think they'll actually release him?"
<Capn_Marcus> "What makes *you* think they won't?"
<mainstreet> "Because dragging me in there isn't likely to accomplish anything. You don't have proof, and I'm not likely to talk."
<mainstreet> "All you'll do is get my husband to pay out some cash for my release."
<Kanzel> "They didn't have proof Dusty did it either.
<Kanzel> Didn't stop them."
<mainstreet> "And they still won't have proof. You see the point," Eralia comments, sitting back down.
<Capn_Marcus> "Well, admittedly, we were planning on rooting through all your stuff after we captured you to find what proof we need. In all honesty, we'd probably also take all the valuables we could carry that weren't nailed down."
<mainstreet> "Ah, so it's the villianous looting game you're really into, is it?"
<Kanzel> "Besides, we really don't need proof. It's called reasonable doubt."
<mainstreet> "Where do you think you are, Kanzel, the United States of America? 'Reasonable doubt' don't mean *bleep* here."
<Capn_Marcus> "Hey, hey! Language, young lady." Marcus waggles his finger. "This is a family game."
<mainstreet> "I'm not a family woman," Eralia smirked back. "As much as my husband tries."
<Capn_Marcus> "Tell that to Standards and Practices. Look, unless you've got a third option, I don't see how else this can possibly work out."
<mainstreet> Eralia snorts. "I suppose you could always tell your monarch to find a boyfriend less prone to getting into trouble, but we both know that wouldn't end well either. I don't really see what else you can do here. You can either go get him, or you can die here."
Kanzel jumps at the wizard from behind and attacks. "We'll see."
<mainstreet> "So it's death you've chosen!" Eralia declares, getting up. "We shall indeed see! Deldrok, Theresa, Veronica, eliminate them!" The ladies to Eralia's left get up as well, while Deldrok takes a stab from Kanzel. "GAH!" he declares.
<mainstreet> Very much "GAH", as Deldrok is stabbed cleanly through the heart.
<mainstreet> "...well then." Eralia declares. "I guess we're playing for keeps."
<mainstreet> Eralia pulls out her swords.
<Capn_Marcus> "Well, I guess that's it, then. It's on like Donkey Kong." Marcus cracks his knuckles.
Sanni pulls out a wand, pointing it at Veronica, and casts the spell
<mainstreet> Veronica blinks but shakes her head, clearing her mind.
<mainstreet> Veronica narrows her eyes, casting a spell at her combatant personally, aiming right for her. "Here's some REAL mind control."
<mainstreet> Veronica smiles as the telepathic link forms in her mind.
<mainstreet> Theresa, emboldened by her sister's success, attempts the same spell on the big fighter in front of her.
<mainstreet> Brellius shakes his head and growls at the woman. Theresa gasps and falls down.
Brellius takes a few steps towards the enemy and calls his shimmering, pillow-headed halberd back to his hands
<mainstreet> Eralia giggles at the pillow-headed weapon.
<mainstreet> Eralia responds by sending her blades slashing at the old man whose conversation skills leave a lot to be desired.
<Capn_Marcus> Marcus dies.
<Capn_Marcus> Specifically, Marcus is reduced to a pile of wafer-thin slices of lunceon meat. Hey, if you gotta go, go with style.
Kanzel moves towards Eralia and vanishes from sight mid step, attacking Eralia
<mainstreet> "AUUUUUUUGH!" Eralia yells as blades stab into her violently from seemingly nowhere
<Capn_Marcus> "Yeah, kick her ass!" The party hears an odd, distant voice in their heads. "You better take her down, you sorry sons of guns, or I'll haunt you for the rest of your miserable lives!"
<mainstreet> Veronica commands Sanni to use a healing spell on Eralia. And it works. A bit.
<mainstreet> Veronica herself chooses to cast another spell at you at all.
<mainstreet> Brellius and Kanzel get a feeling of Crushing Despair about them. Heheh.
<mainstreet> Theresa simply gets up... and vanishes.
Brellius flails around the pillow-halberd in Veronica's direction
<mainstreet> Veronica gasps as she takes a vicious softie slam!
<mainstreet> Eralia raises an eyebrow and turns her vicious blades towards Brellius.
<Capn_Marcus> The disembodied voice howls in Eralia's ear. "Choke, choke, choke!"
<mainstreet> The blades slash into Brellius a bit.
Kanzel pops back into existance and pops back out of existance, attacking Eralia again
Kanzel pops back into existance and pops back out of existance, turning and attacking Veronica.
<mainstreet> Kanzel's attack sends Veronica falling to the floor, clearly out.
<Capn_Marcus> The remains of Marcus bleed all over the floor. *bleed, bleed*
Sanni shakes her head, clearing it some, and starts to meld into a wolf snarling at Eralia
<mainstreet> Eralia blinks.
<mainstreet> Theresa does something invisible. You can't see her. What'd you expect, a detailed account of something you can't see?
<mainstreet> However, Sanni notices that the corpse of Deldrok has no wands in its possession at this time.
Brellius continues his flailing at Eralia
<Capn_Marcus> "Serves you right for killing me." :p
<mainstreet> Eralia feels the pillow's soft feathery bite.
<mainstreet> Eralia sighs and takes a step back. "So it appears I won't be winning this fight, as I'm completely by myself. But I will return!" She turns around and a vanishes in an eerie blue light.
<Brellius> "I was just getting started!"
<mainstreet> The door in the back of the room opens suddenly.
<mainstreet> Apparently someone invisible just opened it.
Brellius rushes over towards the door
<mainstreet> As you run in, you see a very ornately furnished bedchamber. One object of note is a swirling portal. It seems to be leading to another part of the base (or another base). Eralia and the now-visible Theresa walk through it in front of you.
<mainstreet> (If you want to follow them, right now before the portal collapses would be a good time ;) )
Kanzel runs after them
Brellius quickly tags along
<Capn_Marcus> Marcus's spirit floats after them. Float, float.
Sanni runs off to catch Eralia, her wolf speed no match for Eralia
<mainstreet> They all tear into... BASE TWO.
<mainstreet> DUN DUN DUN
<mainstreet> ---END GAME---
