Geometric Archipelago:Ignorance on Circle Island/Chapter 04
Chapter Four: Costumes, Food, and Partying
<mainstreet> As we find five complete noobs, er... scratch that, try again... As we find five upstanding humanoid beings walking around Eagle City, the city looms around them.
<Capn_Marcus> "Oh god, it's looming at us! Run away!"
<Kanzel> "Haha, Medusa isn't upstanding."
<Capn_Marcus> Marcus shakes his head, as if clearing his thoughts. "Er. Sorry about that, I think I had a sudden attack of senility."
Elysia points to the shop. "There you are. That's the shop. Can I go get myself some food now?"
<Brellius> "I've subsisted on trail rations for months. Some real food sounds lovely right now."
<Capn_Marcus> "Mmm, foooood..." Marcus shakes his head again. "No, no, business before pleasure. We should ask in the shop first. THEN eat."
<Elysia> "...I should have gone to work in a brothel. Then I could have both," Elysia mutters. "Instead, I gave myself to the gods. What a stupid thing to do."
<Capn_Marcus> "Then why do you keep doing it?"
<Elysia> "I'm no quitter, thank you."
<mainstreet> Sure enough, just in one corner outside Building Two, you find a sign: "GEORGE'S COSTUMES AND PARTY STUFFS"
Sanni shakes her head at the rest of the party, and ducks into the store
<Brellius> "Parties are business now? Awesome."
<Capn_Marcus> "You sure sound like it." Marcus notices the sign. "Party stuffs? Sounds like my kind of place!" He darts inside.
<Elysia> "Oh, screw you."
Elysia wanders into the store, finding a bear costume almost immediately
Brellius also enters the store
<mainstreet> The store looks a lot like your standard party supply store -- racks and racks of different costumes, with a wall of cute little noisemakers, invitations, dumb party games, and other similar devices.
<mainstreet> Elysia: You quickly realize that said bear costume IS ALIVE!
Brellius takes a look at the noisemakers. "Oooooo..."
<mainstreet> (Oh, wait, it's just that someone's wearing it. Heh heh.)
<mainstreet> "Welcome to George's Costumes and Party Stuffs. I'm George," the man in the bear suit says. "How can I help you?"
Elysia growls. "You can take that off before I slam my dagger into its heart."
<mainstreet> "Hey, you're no fun! Why'd you come here if you're that fun-less?" the man complained, taking the headpiece off and holding it. "Really, just for that I'm charging you a bit more."
<Elysia> "I was looking out for your health."
<mainstreet> "Sounded more like you were threatening me."
<Elysia> "A more startled person than I would probably kill you, thinking you were a real bear."
<Capn_Marcus> "Er." Marcus butts in. "Please excuse her, she's had a fun-ectemy. We're looking for something."
<mainstreet> "Yeah? What might you be looking for? And really, you come to a costume store and aren't prepared for people in costumes? Lame."
<Elysia> "Marcus, just because I put value in exactness does not mean I have had a fun-ectomy. You just haven't seen me in a bathtub yet."
Sanni shrugs, "Eh, that's her issue, we're looking for something that's not exactly something that'd be out on the shelf. If you know what I mean."
<mainstreet> "Well, if it's not on the shelf, I don't have it. But this is a costume store, it's not like you can't find pretty much anything you'd want."
<mainstreet> "What do you need, specifically?"
<Elysia> "We need something... a little less... costumey."
<Sanni> "Somethign that'll help us blend in a bit. It's not exactly easy to get, but we heard this was the place."
<mainstreet> "Sheesh. Stop beating around the bush. If you want to just take a look around, go for it. If you have a specific question, ask it. Otherwise... I don't care."
<Elysia> "We want military uniforms."
<mainstreet> "Hmm. What island? I got the largest ten, in theory."
Elysia looks at Marcus. "Private! What island did you want to be?":
<Capn_Marcus> "Like hell! If anything, I wanna be rear admiral!"
Elysia hisses. "What is the first rule when addressing a superior?!"
<Capn_Marcus> "...wait, what do you mean 'in theory'?"
<Capn_Marcus> He turns to address George the Bear.
<mainstreet> "I mean, I *carry* all ten Islands. Funny thing, my stock of Triangle and Octagon were both cleaned out, five days ago. No idea why, but I got a huge order and filled it. So for either of those, you gotta wait a week or so."
<Capn_Marcus> "What? Aww, man." Marcus pouts. "What kind of jerk hordes costumes?" He looks expectantly at George, as if hoping for an informative reply.
<mainstreet> "I don't ask questions. I just fill orders."
Elysia frowns, looking at Marcus, leaning in, exposing a little more skin. "Well, which island did you want?"
Brellius looks for a price tag on the noisemakers
<mainstreet> Brellius: "5 BASIC NOISEMAKERS -- 2 SILVER"
<Kanzel> "Who did you sell your recent Triangle costume to? that's the one we really want."
<Capn_Marcus> "Uh." Marcus finds himself suddenly off-balance (mentally speaking) as Elysia suddenly puts on the charm. "...well, I was *hoping* for Triangle, I guess..."
<mainstreet> "Hmmm. What's it to you, anyways?"
<Elysia> "He got a dare."
<Elysia> "And roped me into being commanding officer to fufill it."
<Kanzel> "We want to track them down and buy it from them. It's kind of important."
Elysia nods. "Can't be a chicken and not do the dare."
<Elysia> "That's what you told me, Marcus, right?" The beatific smile Elysia gives him says he'd better agree or else.
<mainstreet> "Um. Yeah... I don't really think I can help you. I'm not one to really reveal customer data. Not when I don't have a good reason to."
<Sanni> "What would be a good reason, cause I've got a few."
<mainstreet> "Um. I don't know. I guess something involving a considerable amount of disc-shaped metal objects. Preferably ones somewhat yellow-ish."
<Elysia> "Define considerable amount."
<Capn_Marcus> "Hmm. I believe I've heard of these unusual artifacts..."
Elysia smiles charmingly at Marcus
<mainstreet> "Um... maybe about... a dozen or so."
<Capn_Marcus> "Interesting." Marcus produces fifteen gold pieces, rolling them around in his fingers. "Here's fifteen, if you keep the info coming."
<Brellius> "Also, I'd like some noisemakers." Brellius hands over two silver
<Capn_Marcus> "Now let's hear it."
<mainstreet> George nods and lumbers over to the desk. "Let's see here... I see that all eight of my Triangle uniforms were bought five days ago by a lady who identified herself only as 'Miss K.' She paid out 40 gold for the uniforms, all told. Now, these aren't perfect replicas, mind, more like costumes, which is what I sell, but passable enough for the untrained eye."
<Kanzel> "Got an address or location?"
<mainstreet> "She said she wasn't from this island, and I didn't press the matter. She boxed 'em up and walked out with 'em."
<Sanni> "Can you give us a description of her?"
<mainstreet> "Hmmm. Not for fifteen, I can't. Maybe twenty."
<Capn_Marcus> "Fine, fine." Marcus fishes out another five coins.
<mainstreet> "Well, let's see... Human, around six feet, black hair, pretty normal build. Only thing of note I remember is an interesting string of beads around her neck. Something was odd about it... couldn't remember what."
<Capn_Marcus> "Anything else?"
<mainstreet> "Hmmm. Actually, now that I think about it, I'm not totally convinced she was human. The ears *looked* normal, but they were kinda large... possibly like if she was trying to hide a point. Or a half-point, perhaps."
<Sanni> "What did the beads look like?"
<mainstreet> "Just a string of gold beads. Can't really remember... huh."
<mainstreet> "Just... I can't put my finger on it. But something was odd. They weren't normal."
<Capn_Marcus> "Interesting. What about the Octagon uniforms?"
<mainstreet> "Hmmm. Oh, that was for a big party two nights ago. I was there. The Blue Dudes, you know, the band, they bought those ones, rocked the place. 'twas awesome."
<mainstreet> "I guess so. Oh, and the noisemakers are free with info purchase."
<mainstreet> George hands Brellius's silver back to him. "See, that way I can say that I sold those noisemakers for 20 gold. It works."
<Brellius> "Sounds good to me."
Brellius stashes away some noisemakers into his handy haversack
<Elysia> "Can we have some food now?" Elysia says, still charming Marcus
<Capn_Marcus> "Uh, sure, I guess. I think we're done here, unless somebody wants a ManBearPig costume."
Sanni shrugs, "I think we're done, and food sounds good."
<mainstreet> "Right. Well. If you ever need a costume, remember, George's is the place to be!" George said happily, replacing his headpiece.
<Kanzel> "Thank you"
Kanzel walks out into the street and looks around "Should we eat here or go back to the beach? Beach food is probably free."
<Capn_Marcus> "Alright then...next stop: vittles."
<Capn_Marcus> Marcus heads outside.
Elysia dashes out of the place, beginning to hunt down a place to eat
<mainstreet> Elysia: The first place you come to is: "THE EAGLE GRILL", just two storefronts to the east, still part of Building 2.
Sanni follows Kanzel and Marcus, "Vittles?"
<Capn_Marcus> "Food. Chow. Grub."
Elysia looks in the window and nods, satisfied that the all you can eat buffet is still one silver piece and goes inside, paying her silver piece
<Capn_Marcus> "Nosh. Munchies."
mainstreet scratches out Elysia's last line. If she wants a buffet, try building 9, but it's one gold, not one silver.
<mainstreet> The Eagle Grill looks like a good, old-fashioned burger joint.
<Capn_Marcus> "Ooh, I could totally go for an eagle burger."
Brellius tags along. "Can't be worse than trail rations."
Sanni follows Brellius and Kanzel "Burgers sound good"
<mainstreet> You can see people grilling behind the counter. There's a person at the counter with a box that looks like it's meant to add and hold coins.
<mainstreet> "Welcome to Eagle Grill my name is Will how can I help you?"
<mainstreet> Above him, the menu lies. "HAMBURGER -- 5 silver. CHEESEBURGER -- 6 silver. SPECIAL BURGER -- 8 silver. HOT DOG -- 4 silver. FRIES -- 2 silver. CHIPS -- 2 silver. WATER -- 2 silver. OTHER DRINKS -- 3 silver."
<Capn_Marcus> "Eh? What's so special about the special burger?"
<Sanni> "Yeah, I'll take a hamburger, fries, and water." Sanni says, taking out 9 silver and paying the man.
Kanzel hands over a gold "Hamburger, fries and Mountain Dew."
<mainstreet> "It's made of bird meat, old guy." Will comments, accepting the money from Sanni and Kanzel, writing their orders down and sticking them on the counter behind him.
<Capn_Marcus> "Neat. I'll try anything once." He pays for the special.
<mainstreet> "Do you want fries with that?"
<Capn_Marcus> "No thanks."
<mainstreet> "Anything to drink?"
<mainstreet> "You're lame," Will comments, grabbing the silver and putting the order on the counter.
<Brellius> "I'd like a special burger, chips and milk, please." Brellius retrieves the necessary coins
<mainstreet> "Do you want fries with that?"
<Brellius> "No, thank you."
<mainstreet> "Okay, that'll be 12 silver."
<mainstreet> "Oh, wait, 13, my bad. Haha."
Brellius hands over the coins. "No problem."
<mainstreet> Will puts the order on the counter, collecting the change.
<mainstreet> The cheap plastic tables sit there, inviting you to sit at them.
<Capn_Marcus> Marcus sits at them.
Sanni sits down at one of the tables
<mainstreet> A few minutes later, Will calls out. "Uh... orders 47, 48, 49, and 50."
<mainstreet> Seeing as you all are the only patrons there currently, he's likely referring to you.
Kanzel retrieves everyone's food and sits back down
Kanzel noms at her food.
Sanni smiles, accepting her food from Kanzel and begins to eat
<Capn_Marcus> "Thanks." Marcus opens his, and takes a closer look at this 'special' burger.
<mainstreet> It looks like a chicken sandwich, actually, Marcus.
<mainstreet> Sanni: You feel a bit queasy after eating your burger. It doesn't seemed to have agreed with you.
<Capn_Marcus> Marcus shrugs, and takes a bite. Mmm, chewey.
Kanzel keeps noming
Brellius quickly mows through his food
Kanzel finishes and cleans up, staring at the activity (or lack thereof) outside (Assuming she can see outside. She stares at the wall otherwise).
<mainstreet> Yeah, it's pretty dead out there.
Sanni closes her eyes, and shakes her head
<mainstreet> You do see an occasional passerby, but nothing of interest.
<Sanni> "I'm not so sure my buger was cooked all the way through"
<Capn_Marcus> Marcus belches. "*braaaap!* Whew! Them's good eatin'."
Kanzel sips at her soda "So what now?"
Elysia enters and slumps in a seat. "Stupid Olidammara... I could have been FIGHTING."
<Capn_Marcus> "Welcome back."
<Capn_Marcus> "Yeah, sure you could have. Fighting indigestion."
<Sanni> "Well we could try to find out what kind of neckless that lady had, or try the boat again. Unless someone else has a better idea."
Kanzel sighs at Brellius. "Aren't you full?"
<Capn_Marcus> "I don't think we'll get far chasing that necklace without more info on it."
<Capn_Marcus> "Perhaps we should try to get back on the ship, like we planned before."
<Sanni> "I agree Marcus, but it's an idea."
Kanzel glances at Elysia "Couldn't you stick to one personality?"
<Elysia> "I have this AWESOME--" her voice drips with sarcasm "--scar on my back because in the middle of a fight, he decided he was gonna talk to me."
<Elysia> "He talked to me again. I'm not happy. And he told me nothing I understood."
<Kanzel> "Okay. that's enough sitting around. Elysia, get something to go if you're hungry. Let's go check the boat."
<mainstreet> ---SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE--- Fast Forward, Fast Forward, Let Time Roll Over! --- ---
<mainstreet> You all arrive just outside the tent of Triangle Island.
Sanni followa Kanzel into the tent
<mainstreet> The gnome nods. "The ambassador's expecting you, go on in."
Kanzel nods at the gnome and keeps going through the flaps.
<mainstreet> "There you are," Carmen announces as soon as you've all made it inside. "I've got a little surprise for you all. If you're interested."
<Kanzel> "Um.. Okay."
<Elysia> "I don't like surprises."
<mainstreet> "Yes. There's going to be a bit of a party tonight in the Hall. We agreed on that today, at least. All the Ambassadors, and their most important companions, are invited. And the five of you are the closest thing I have to that. Interested in coming?"
<Elysia> "Not really."
<Capn_Marcus> "A party? Hot damn!"
Sanni looks at the group and shrugs.
Kanzel looks at Elysia. "You can stay here and sleep then."
<Sanni> "Don't see why not"
<Brellius> "Sounds great!"
<mainstreet> "Mixed reactions, I see. Well, you don't all have to come."
Elysia sighs. "Kanzel. Did I say I wouldn't come?"
<Kanzel> "You didn't have to say it. It was in the way you said 'not really.' you sound like you need sleep."
<mainstreet> "You certainly implied it," Carmen points out. "Look, come, or not, the party's in ten minutes, so pretty yourselves up quickly, it'll take a few just to get to the hall from here."
<Capn_Marcus> "Geez. I better change."
<Kanzel> "Speaking of, do we have specific place to sleep and change in this tent?"
Elysia sighs and pretties herself up quickly. "Kanzel, she enquired about my interest, not whether I would or not. I therefore gave her the answer that related to my interest."
<Elysia> "Just as when you asked me if I knew of a cleric that would join you, I said 'Yes'. It was the answer that related to your question."
<mainstreet> "Um, yeah, in the room tent, I guess, all the way on the other side."
Kanzel nods to Carmen and goes through the flaps in the indicated direction.
Elysia harrumps and makes note to smack Kanzel a good one
<Capn_Marcus> Marcus scoots off to change into something more comfortable.
Kanzel enters the changing portion of the tent.
Sanni walks into the tent, looking around for something to wash her face
Kanzel changes her disguise to hide any dirt, stains, or scratches.
Brellius looks down at his travel-worn gear. "Eh, this should do."
Kanzel also hides her backpack and weapons for no real reason except she can.
<Capn_Marcus> Marcus returns, wearing his formal robe - dark grey, made of silk, with silver trim. A white faux-ivory cane to go with it.
<Elysia> "Y'all ready?"
<Capn_Marcus> "Yep! Top hat and tails all the way."
<Kanzel> "Let's wait outside."
Kanzel exits the tent.
Elysia burps a bit, belatedly covering her mouth
<mainstreet> Carmen joins you all outside, nods once, and leads the way to the Hall.
Sanni concentrates a bit, activating a disguise similar to Kanzel's.
<mainstreet> As you all arrive outside the Hall, you see a large door with a guard on either side. "Triangle delegation," Carmen comments at them, and they wave her (and the rest of you) inside.
<mainstreet> As you enter, you find the Hall is more or less one huge floor. There's a few tables at the far end where there are apparently drinks, as well as a stage on your left with various musical instruments. Currently there is no one present onstage. The Hall is somewhat full, you'd guess that maybe one more delegation will be arriving after you.
<mainstreet> A few people around the room notice your entrance, nod to themselves, and continue doing their own thing.
<Elysia> "Well, this is... a geometrically intricate pattern."
<mainstreet> "Feel free to wander around the room, make yourself known, talk to people... if you want me to introduce you to people, ask me and I'll be happy to," Carmen commented.
Elysia does just that, wandering around the room innocently
<Capn_Marcus> "Thank you, ma'am." Marcus starts prowling around the room, mingling.
<Capn_Marcus> Marcus makes it a point to keep an eye out for the woman the store owner described.
Kanzel looks around "I wouldn't mind being introduced."
Brellius closes his eyes and focuses on the splendor of the eagle
<mainstreet> Marcus: You spot a few different black-haired, somewhat tall ladies.
<mainstreet> Carmen nods at Kanzel. "Well, who do you want to meet? I know you've read the, uh, thing, which you shouldn't mention, by the way, but uh... anyone you're interested in in particular?"
Elysia looks for clues
<mainstreet> Behind you, a man in drab white robes enters the door, followed by a few similar people. "Ah, the Six-Pointed Star delegation," Carmen comments. "Figures they'd be the last. Very... obssessed, and fun-hating, they can be. And they'll be the first to leave, too, like as not."
Brellius mingles with the crowd with his enhanced charm
<Capn_Marcus> Marcus checks to see if any of them are wearing gold necklaces. Necklaci?
<mainstreet> Marcus: What's a necklace? You seem to have forgotten that.
<mainstreet> (At least, no, necklaces are not found near the butt. :P)
Kanzel looks toward the people Carmen indicated. "I don't know about talking to them.."
<mainstreet> Brellius: You run into a woman dressed in a simple silver dress, quite literally. The drink she's carrying spills. "Oh, sorry there..."
Kanzel looks around again "Actually, is Winters here?"
<Brellius> "Ah, no problem. Shall I get you a replacement drink?"
<mainstreet> "Winter, you mean? Yeah... he's over there... in the green," Carmen gestures at the far corner of the room. "He's actually talking with Ambassador Jenkins, of the Octagon," she indicates the lady he's speaking with.
<Capn_Marcus> Marcus goes looking for Sanni.
<Kanzel> "Is Mrs. Winter here?"
Sanni turns, looking at Marcus.
<mainstreet> "Hmmm. I thought I saw her over in the middle... but I lost her. Hmmm."
<mainstreet> Brellius: The lady shakes her head briefly and starts walking back towards the drinks table. "My Mistress won't approve of stranger touching her drink."
<Capn_Marcus> "Psst." He whispers to Sanni. "Do you remember the description that the store owner gave us? Help me look around at the guests, see if any of them match. Try to find that necklace."
Elysia wanders around some more, finding no obvious clues
<Kanzel> "What does she look like?"
<mainstreet> "She's actually somewhat hard to miss. She's got a blend of red and black hair that you don't see often. And, I've heard many, many males refer to her as 'quite hot'. She must've gone to the bathroom or something, because I don't see her. Or she just hid behind someone else. Or something."
Kanzel looks around for red and black hair, or a bathroom.
<mainstreet> Kanzel: She's apparently right behind you. And yes, she is hot. Wearing a very form-fitting red dress, she looks every bit a 'trophy wife'. Which, given how old her husband looked, says something about his money more then anything else. Ha.
<Capn_Marcus> Marcus suddenly gets an odd look on his face. "Strange...my babe sense is tingling..."
<Capn_Marcus> Marcus prowls around the party, looking as charming as he can while searching for any sexy wimmins.
Sanni wonders through the crowd, searching for the lady the shop keeper described.
<mainstreet> Sanni: You see a lot of "could be"s, no "certain"s
Elysia looks for unobvious clues
Brellius quickly wraps up the mingling and tries to find his way back to the group
Sanni keeps trying to find the woman, focusing more on the neckless than anything
<mainstreet> As luck would have it, Sanni and Marcus both *CRASH* into the same woman at the same time. Yes, the woman does indeed seem to have a gold necklace around her. She picks herself up and glares at the two of you. "What are you trying to do, play football in here? This is a social gathering, idiots."
Kanzel points her out to Carmen "There she is. can you introduce me to her?"
<Capn_Marcus> Marcus quickly gives the woman a covert looking over as he regains his footing, trying to confirm that A) she matches the description, B) if her necklace is 'odd', and C) if she's hot.
<mainstreet> "Oh, sure," Carmen replies, nodding and walking up to her. "Miss Winter, this is Miss Kanzel Seraphim, and I thought the two of you might like to get acquainted."
Sanni stands, offering the woman a hand, "So sorry about that, I'm a bit of a klutz"
Kanzel extends her hand. "Hello there. Nice to meet you."
<mainstreet> Melinda nods and smiles. "Honored to meet you, Miss Seraphim."
<mainstreet> Carmen smiles to herself and back away.
<mainstreet> Melinda accepts Kanzel's hand and shakes it.
<mainstreet> "That much is quite clearly an understatement," the woman comments at Sanni. "Now, if you will excuse me, I will go find myself some more respectable company."
<Kanzel> "I was wondering if you knew anything about the Hexagon boat being attacked."
<mainstreet> "Of course I know, I was there," Melinda replied, a bit exasperated. "Are you sure you want to talk about this in here?"
Kanzel looks around for eavesdroppers "Is there someplace you'd feel more comfortable discussing it?"
<mainstreet> Melinda looks around. "I guess I can leave early. Zach won't notice until he's ready to leave, and he'll guess I left early to prepare for him after the party. Come on, let's go," she gently grabs Kanzel's arm and leads her back out the door they came.
Kanzel is dragged
<mainstreet> Marcus: Yes, basically she does, yeah, it definitely looks like it's not a normal necklace, and yes, she's *very* hot.
<Capn_Marcus> Marcus puts on his best 'charming old man' smile, and addresses his new friend. "I'm terribly sorry, madam, I was lost in thought. Please accept my most humble apologies." He bows.
<mainstreet> The woman looks at him apprasingly. "Well, what do you know, a shread of decency after all. Nonetheless, good day to you," she turns to walk away.
Elysia sits down, tired and a little thirsty
<Capn_Marcus> "Oh, um...please, madam, if you don't mind." Marcus tries his best to catch up without making it look like he's stalling her. "Allow me to introduce myself - I am Marcus, wizard extrordinaire." He bows again. "And, if I might ask, whom do I have the honor of addressing?"
<mainstreet> "*I* am the Baroness Eralia Khellian-Yoloff," she replied in her most arrogant tone. "And *you* are once again in my way, and I suggest you get out of it."
<mainstreet> ---END SESSION---
Kanzel's Conversation with Miss Winter
<mainstreet> Melinda leads the way into her tents, and through many flaps, nodding at all the guards to indicate Kanzel's also allowed in.
<Kanzel> "Is this private enough? sure is bigger than the other tents.."
<mainstreet> When she finally arrives at her husband's office, she shrugs, and sits down. "This office is well-shielded. It'll work until Zach gets back, which you better be out of here before that. Now. What did you want to know?"
<Kanzel> "I want to know... Why people attacked your boat in the first place. and why they framed us to do it."
<mainstreet> "Why the attack? I wouldn't know that. Probably for some 'big, political' reason or something. I don't know why anyone hurts anyone. You've probably figured out that my husband didn't pick me for my brain, and I've accepted that. As to why the frame... well, whatever reason, you're an easy target, as our so-called 'enemy', it would be hard to make people believe otherwise. If I believe it is
<mainstreet> a frame, which I'm not convinced of."
<Kanzel> "We're here for the summit, not to cause a war. I'm not big on fighting anyway. Peaceful resolutions are always the best. Anyway, I was wondering if I could get permission to inspect the Hexagon boat."
<mainstreet> Melinda raises an eyebrow. "What for? And why ask me? My husband's the one with power, I'm just his eye candy."
<Kanzel> "Because you seem smarter than your husband. He's blinded by a rivalry that's outside my control. And your word should be just as valid as his to the people guarding the boat."
<mainstreet> "And you think you know him better then me, making such judgments? And no, it's not, they're well aware of my status. Though... come back tomorrow, when they're off debating. I'll be waiting for you. They might refuse a paper signed by me, but they won't refuse *me*, in person. I'll let you look around. I'm curious to see what you find."
<Kanzel> "I didn't presume to know him as well as you, I'm just not okay with marrying for looks alone. But that's personal prejudice, and I appologize for the assumption. And Okay, I'll come back then."
Kanzel bows slightly. "thank you for this."
<mainstreet> Melinda nods. "I don't mind it. Because if it didn't happen I would've ended up with a nobody. And yes, see you tomorrow," she says, waving her out.
Kanzel nods, leaving.
<mainstreet> ---END SESSION---
